My Chargemap Pass is not recognised at a charging station

First of all, check that the charging station where you are about to top up your EV is well and truly compatible with the Chargemap Pass.

The Chargemap Pass is an RFID card that works using radio waves. At the charging stations, the card reader is located either behind the screen or behind an area on the front of the charging station symbolised by a specific sign. See charging stations compatible with the Chargemap Pass

The radio signal is quite low, so you have to hold the card in place for quite a long time (10 to 20 seconds), until the card is recognised by the charging station.

You should never leave your Chargemap Pass on a wireless charger inside your EV.

If, however, your card still doesn’t work, please contact the support centre at Chargemap so that we can carry out the necessary checks on your Chargemap account (active or inactive Chargemap Pass, unpaid invoices, debit/credit card expired etc.).

If necessary, our team can put you directly in contact with the charging station’s support team.

If you need further help or have any other questions, you can contact the Chargemap Support Centre. Our team is always ready to help.
